The Tennis Courts
HOST TO TOURNAMENTS & INDIVIDUAL GAMES
At Hedgerows, the tennis courts are available to use by any homeowner. With 4 courts, everyone has plenty of room!
Please keep in mind the following rules;
1. Guests are allowed on courts only if playing tennis with a Member of the Hedgerows community.
2. The courts are for neighborhood residents in good standing.
3. Pets, sports other than tennis, and horseplay are not allowed on the courts. For safety reasons, children of players may be on the court if sitting on the bench, but not while an official match is being played.
4. Non‐compliance of any Hedgerows Tennis Rules will be subject to disciplinary action, which may include loss of court privileges for a period of time and/or a fine to cover damages.
TENNIS COMMITTEE
The Hedgerows Tennis Committee will provide structure and guidelines and is appointed by the HOA Board. The Committee consists of 3 residents that serve as captains of the neighborhood tennis teams. One committee member will be responsible for collecting the tennis fees. An appointed individual should not serve more than 2 consecutive years.
Tennis Committee Chair responsibilities:
1. Point person for facilities maintenance and repair.
2. Recommend and coordinate the replacement/repair of tennis facilities and items approved by the HOA Board.
3. Install award plaques.
4. Collect team Fees from team captains and verify that residents are in good standing and have paid their Annual HOA Dues by providing a roster to the HOA management company.
TENNIS TEAMS
1. Captains must be a Member of the Hedgerows community in good standing.
2. Team rosters must be submitted to the Tennis Committee (for good standing and non‐resident fees). Hedgerows Team Members must be current on their annual HOA dues.
3. Courts for home matches must be reserved prior to the start of the season (except for Rainout matches and Playoffs).
Reservations
1. Individuals can reserve a court 30 days prior to the day it will be used by completing a reservation at www.hedgerows-hoa.com. Exception ‐ tennis captains for Home matches for the entire season.
2. Court reservations will be forfeited by the Member if not present 30 minutes after reserved start time. The maximum court reservation time allowed for any Member is 3 hours (exception Home Tennis matches).
3. Only one court per household, unless a Member has prior approval from the Tennis Committee.
4. Teams can reserve all 4 courts for team home matches. Exception‐ If there are two Hedgerows teams in a league playing a home match at the same time. For this situation, each of the two teams would have 2 of the 4 courts.
5. Court use for league playoffs must be reserved as soon as the schedule is available. Existing court reservations will be reviewed and altered if they interfere with the need for court reservations during playoffs for teams.
6. Courts that are open during team matches (USTA or ALTA) may be reserved for match play only by residents. No lessons or coaching should take place while a team match is in progress.
